Gavin O’Donnell Building Design is a residential design studio focusing on design and documentation for bespoke residential projects, renovations and multi-unit developments throughout south-east Brisbane. We are extremely passionate about our work and aim to reflect our enthusiasm and creativity in all our projects.

Even though we are a happy go lucky building design firm drawing awesome designs, we also have a personalized approach to you and your project. We strongly believe in working closely with our clients to clearly understand their needs and aspirations in order to exceed their expectations.

Here at Gavin O’Donnell Building Design, we like to really get to know our clients before commencing any project, which is why we catch up over a coffee to discuss and formulate a design brief before starting the design process.
We aim to understand your vision and needs for the project and review any potential constraints and local authority requirements during this stage.
CONCEPT
DESIGN
Concept design, AKA, the fun stuff, is where we prepare conceptual drawings for honest feedback and review.
The design process is a collaborative effort and we welcome your input to ensure the project is heading the right direction.
DESIGN
DEVELOPMENT
Design development is where we further develop and refine your design, using 3D views and elevations to really help our clients’ visualize the project.
At this stage, we collaborate with consultants and develop and issue drawings for preliminary assessment or approvals that may be required from the local government authority.
CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTATION
Once we have confirmation of any required approvals, the final construction documentation is completed for tender and construction.
